Turtle & Hughes Trip Promotion 2005 Rules/Criteria

Rules for customers:

  1. A principal or owner must sign the proper documentation to participate in the promotion. The trip award is available only to high-level, active personnel within the organization as designated by the owner or principal. Attendees must be at least 21 years of age at the time of trip departure.
  2. Earning a trip will be based on a point system, with each point equal to one dollar ($1.00) of customer purchases. 350,000 points is required to earn one trip (one couple). A maximum of two (2) trips (two couples) can be earned per account with a total of 700,000 points.
  3. Points earned are based on incremental purchases above the customer's base-period purchases.
  4. New customers must first purchase a base of $25,000 before earning points toward a trip.
  5. Four (4) vendors will support this promotion. Your customers can earn up to 100,000 bonus points by purchasing these vendor's products from stock. Up to 25,000 bonus points per vendor can be earned. Bonus points can only be earned toward one trip.
  6. Each point earned for stock and direct purchases equals $1.00.
  7. Eligible customers must pay invoices within their credit terms for the duration of the promotional period.
  8. If your customer earns a trip, but declines for any reason to participate , no substitution or compensation will be offered.

Example:

Here is a hypothetical example of how to earn one trip:

Last year, ABC Electric Company purchased $100,000 from T & H. This value represents the customer's base-period purchases.

This year, ABC Electric Company once again purchased $100,000 from T & H, an amount equivalent to their base-period purchases reached last year. On top of this amount, ABC then earned 350,000 points. These 350,000 points comprise the following:

  • 150,000 points were earned from purchasing $150,000 directly and from stock.
  • The next 200,000 points were earned purchasing $100,000 from sponsoring vendor stocks. This $100,000 in purchases was divided evenly between the four sponsoring vendors. In other words, for each $25,000 purchased from a sponsoring vendor's stock, the customer was awarded 25,000 bonus points. These bonus points, earned in addition to the 100,000 points earned from the purchases, totaled 200,000 points.
  • The 150,000 points awarded from the combined stock/direct purchases, plus the 200,000 points awarded for purchasing from sponsoring vendor stocks, amounts to a total of 350,000 points, or enought to earn a trip.
