Subject: Price Increase Announcement
As we have all read and experienced first hand the far ranging economical stresses
experienced by the steel industry from government intervention to global trade
organization responses, we enter 2004 faced with continued expected changes
and volatility in the supply of steel. Virtually all United States steel mills
have announced significant price increases as supply has been outpaced by demand
in recent months. Due to these latest increases in raw material costs, Cooper
B-Line must hereby announce a price increase.
Effective March 15, 2004, new pricing will take affect across our product lines
as indicated below:
- Strut and Fittings will be increased by an average of 3%
- Price Sheet BF04PS replaces BF02PS
- Electrical Enclosures will be increased by approximately 3%
- Price Sheet ENCPLE-04 replaces ENCPLE-02
- Price Sheet ENCPLW-04 replaces ENCPLW-02
- Meter Mounting Equipment will be increased by 3%
- Price Sheet MTRPL04 replaces MTRPL02
- Pipe Hangers and Supports will be increased by an average of 3%
- Price Sheet PH04PS replaces PH02PS
You should receive a CD containing all current and impending price lists no
later than February 13, 2004. If you have not, please contact B-Line for the
CD or for actual printed versions.
Please note that the increases indicated above are generally descriptive of
the increases to distributor (Net) pricing for the respective price sheets in
which the products are listed and offered for sales. For item specific price
increases, please refer to the appropriate price list. Further, this announcement
is intended to provide notice that all previous price sheets currently in effect
shall be deemed invalid and will be replaced by the appropriate sheets indicated
for all orders received March 15, 2004 and thereafter.
As an additional service, we can provide customer specific spreadsheet versions
of the price lists. Please e-mail your request to Mike Swiney at mswiney@cooperbline.com
and he can assist you. Please include your name, company name, address, phone
number, applicable price list requested and B-Line account number in order to
assist us in expediting the process.
