4. Accessing iShield™ for the First Time

You must create a password the first time you launch iShield™. This password allows you to access the iShield™ control panel and adjust its settings.

4.1 Set up a Password

To set up a password, do the following:

1. Navigate to the iShield™ Control Panel by clicking Start > Programs > Guardware > iShield™ > iShield™ Control Panel. See Figure 6.

2. At the top of the Control Panel, click on Password (See Figure 6). If this is the first time you are launching iShield™, the password dialogue box appears. See Figure 7.

3. Enter a password in the Password field.
4. Enter the password in the Confirm field and click Continue. The Set Password Reminder dialogue box appears. See Figure 8.

5. In the Question field, enter a question that you will be able to answer easily.
6. In the Answer field, enter the answer to the question in Step 5. The question and its answer will allow you to retrieve your password should you fail to remember it.
7. Click Continue. The iShield™ Control Panel appears.
