Proposal & Planning Stage

The Devil's in the details...

Listing objectives

At this stage, we request that you write down your basic, overall objectives. These should include...

  • your mission statement
  • an estimated completion date for the project
  • the criteria by which you will measure the success of the project
  • your goals for the website with respect to your ideas on design, user navigational needs, and content
  • an audience analysis that profiles the needs of your potential users

This last goal is a critical one. The success of your site will depend largely on how well you understand the background, motivation, and interests of your audience.

Organizing a plan

We review your objectives and focus on your value proposition. Your value proposition is a brief description of how your website will engage your audience and add value to their needs. We work with you to develop your value proposition and to define it as clearly as possible.

Once your objectives are on paper, we can form a plan around them. This is the planning process around which we typically...

  • review your company objectives and mission statement
  • research your industry
  • analyse your competitors
  • look at your marketing profile
  • assess the technical resources required
  • determine the level of content requested
  • propose a rough site design
  • draft the site architecture
  • prepare the website plan
  • submit a cost estimate
